A small tool for a practical privacy question.
Before sharing a photo, people should be able to see whether it contains common location and device details, and make a clean copy when they choose.
What the tool does
QuietFrame checks standard EXIF GPS, camera, and date fields in JPEG and HEIC files. It creates a new JPEG and rechecks for common metadata segments before making the download available. The code processes selected photos in the browser, without a file-upload endpoint.
Why the scope is narrow
Photo formats differ. This version supports JPEG and HEIC input, with visible scan results and a second scan of the JPEG output. PNG, RAW, and selective metadata preservation are not supported here.
What to remember
Metadata is only one privacy layer. People, signs, documents, and places visible in a photo can also reveal information. Inspect the final image and keep your original file.
